Well that was another great trip to Arseguel in Catelonia! We arrived on the Thursday evening after a long and winding trip from Barcelona. The theme for the weekend was music and family but as usual the food was fabulous!
On the Thursday evening after dinner Mark and i started para rising drinking wine using the Catalan drinking vessel. The aim is pour drink from a height into your mouth. I managed to hit my eye and my white shirt however Mark managed fine so here is a video!
Our first gig was on Friday in a local town. We spent a few hours in the very warm sunshine sound checking and reading books before heading for another beautiful meal in the Hotel Andria. We then performed to a capacity out door audience and went home for some more beer.
Saturday was even more relaxing (if that’s possible) with a beautiful lunch of melon and ham followed by fish and squid and more wine. Next was lots of tunes and songs with accordion players from all over the world and them even more food before we went on stage at 1.15am… Of course there was no point in going to bed after that as our taxi was at 8am so we stayed in the square all night listening to fine music from Catalonia and Columbia.
Sound good? I think so 🙂
